A friend in need is a friend indeed

A friend in need is a friend indeed
Familiar phrase? Shit happened and people that you thought would show concern did not. Seems scary that the friend or those friends that you valued them being close do not show the kind of care that you hope to receive. A friend said that-some people do not place too much trust & hope in just anybody because what you value in the person may not be the other way round. It's like a protection for yourself. I never liked to do that because it would mean blocking out the opportunity of developing a further or in-depth relationship with that person. However, with many incidents of being hurt again and again, i question myself on why am i not building this wall to protect myself?

My angel thought and a devil thought:
Angel thought- The friend or friends probably did not feel comfortable enough to ask me what had happened. A reason of awkwardness maybe?
Devil thought- Obviously that friend or those friends is/are in a very very close circle group of friends, couldn't they at least show a least bit of concern? Passing message to others to dig out gossips maybe?

On one hand I am truly upset and disappointed, on the other, I know that we shouldn't be expecting things from others. Otherwise, these actions may not be genuine.

Enough said of that, I am thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ for they are unselfish with their love. And people who really cared(:

It was nice to have an ice-cream after a sad day. Mel calls it happy food(: Happy food with happy people.
